Explore a casual escape room game for Playdate.
"Escape the Arcade" is an interactive comic adventure packed with mind-bending puzzles to help you crack your way out.
Picture this: you're enjoying a casual afternoon at the arcade hall in the 1980s. You decide to try your luck with the crane claw machine, hoping to snag some teddies - what could possibly go wrong?
Suddenly, with a puff, you find yourself inside the machine, and to top it off, you've shrunk to the size of a teddy! The teddy bears, not accustomed to having humans in their domain, attempt to trap you.
Within the arcade machine, they've created a series of quirky worlds with mysterious, and occasionally adorable, puzzles for you to solve.
Embark on this nostalgic and absurd journey, immersing yourself in cool illustrations and cryptic riddles.
Game Features:
- 14 Unique Rooms: Solve your way out of a variety of diverse and engaging rooms.
- Help When Needed: Find hints and answers for every puzzle in the system menu.
- Immersive Soundtrack: Enjoy original music accompanying each room.
- Interactive Storytelling: Use the crank to scroll through the story and solve riddles with the D-pad and A- and B-buttons.
- Flexible Gameplay: The game lasts 60-180 minutes, but take your time to enjoy the artwork – no rush!

Oh, I love this game! The puzzles are the perfect difficulty, and the art is just stunning. Everything about this feels very polished and made with love. Awesome work! :-)
Nostalgic, bite-sized, nicely easy, and colourful (in a sense). The game made by gamers for other gamers — what could be better?
